Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy Sudbury

We are a walking pharmacy therefore...every thought creates a physical response.

Everyone's mind is programmed, and at some point in our past, we have all reprogrammed our own minds in some way. We start to feel better almost instantaneously when taking medicine, despite being aware of the time it takes for the medicine to take effect. We can make ourselves hungry just by thinking of food. We can make ourselves angry when we think about things that anger us. The truth is, most of us have experienced the Placebo effect. Did you know that if you smile for approximately sixty seconds you will become happier? All of these things are a direct result of the mind being conditioned, or programmed.

The Power of your Unconscious Mind

You can change the way you resolve your problems and challenges simply by utilizing your most relevant hidden resource -- your own unconscious mind. We call it many things; Our intuition, our gut feeling, and you can learn how to enter into a state of mind that leads to your highest potential during your conscious waking hours. Imagine laser-like focus, and new-found permanent energy that allows you to confidently walk through doors of opportunity with a sense of purpose and meaning.

Safe and tested: Let me address an unfounded fear that some people who’ve yet to be exposed to brainwave entrainment or hypnosis have: Loss of self-control. The truth is, you have never had more control of your mind. You talk to this part of your mind all day long, it drives the car while you're off in la-la land, and you rely on it to remember what you teach it in your current profession.

Thanks to recent advances, people are able to use audio and visual stimulation to induce an extensive variety of mental states.

Your unconscious mind is constantly working, constantly responding to situations, and constantly acting on your fears and desires (although not always in the way you would like). After reprogramming your mind, your unconscious will work for you and not against you.

Stimulating the Brain with Light & Sound

Hypnosis Sudbury

Why Hypnosis with Brainwave Technology?

Brainwave Entrainment, is a process that effectively synchronizes the frequencies of the two hemispheres of your brain, so you can achieve ongoing balance. It gently unlocks your productivity potential for optimal clarity in everyday life.

While it has been around since the early 1970’s. Those who utilize it, find they achieve their goals and make desired personal changes faster than they ever dreamed, far surpassing the success rates of conventional self-help methods.

What is Brainwave Entrainment?

Brainwave Entrainment refers to the brain's electrical response to rhythmic sensory stimulation, such as pulses of sound or light. When the brain is given a stimulus, through the ears, eyes or other senses, it emits an electrical charge in response, called a Cortical Evoked Response. These electrical responses travel throughout the brain to become what you "see and hear". This activity can be measured using sensitive electrodes attached to the scalp.

When the brain is presented with a rhythmic stimulus, such as a drum beat for example, the rhythm is reproduced in the brain in the form of these electrical impulses. If the rhythm becomes fast and consistent enough, it can start to resemble the natural internal rhythms of the brain, called Brainwaves. When this happens, the brain responds by synchronizing its own electric cycles to the same rhythm. This is commonly called the Frequency Following Response (or FFR):

Brainwave Entrainment

FFR can be useful because brainwaves are very much related to mental state. For example, a 3 Hz brainwave is associated with sleep, so a 3 Hz sound pattern would help reproduce the sleep state in your brain. The same concept can be applied to many other mental states, including concentration, creativity and meditation.

If you listen closely during a session, you will hear small, rapid pulses of sound. As the session progresses, the frequency rate of these pulses is changed slowly, thereby changing your brainwave patterns and guiding your mind to various useful mental states.

What to expect?

Initial Consultation:

During your initial consultation, you will be asked a series of questions. What hypnosis is and how it works will be explained, and the appointment for the hypnotherapy session will be booked at that time. Your hypnotherapist will then customize your session specifically for your requirements. The initial consultation takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and the cost is $235+HST.

Your Session:

During your session, you will be guided to a relaxing chair. Music will be playing in the background and you will get comfortable. You will put on glasses that have light pulses flashing in them and your eyes remain closed at all times when while they are flashing. The combination of light and sound will bring you to a relaxed state very quickly as you're guided on a relaxing journey into your own mind using a series of mental images and suggestions intended to change behaviors and relieve symptoms at the unconscious level of your mind. You won't be asleep, as you're in the same state you go into when you're diving your car and are in and out of awareness in the moment.  You're not talking during the session, and you will not be touched during your session.

The session takes 45 minutes to an hour and the cost is $385+HST
