Life changes fast—roles shift, stress stacks up, and even after individual or couples work, you may want a focused 1:1 reset. The Personal Tune-Up is a five-session track for past clients who want quick traction without starting from scratch.

You’re in the right place. Many of my clients choose a short 1:1 reset after individual or couples work to reset, clarify personal values and boundaries, and clear what’s still looping underneath. This Personal Tune-Up gives you a structured, Time Line Therapy® track to release the emotional charge and install clear, dated goals in your future timeline—so you show up grounded and intentional in every part of life (relationship included).

    What’s changed since we last worked together? Pinpoint the stressors, and set outcomes.

  2. Values & Vision Alignment
    Re-anchor core values, clarify priorities, and translate them into boundary language, scheduling guardrails, and energy management for the next 90 days.

  3. Time Line Therapy® — Releasing
    Gently release the emotional charge from past events (e.g., rage, anger, sadness, fear, hurt, guilt, shame) so you can respond—rather than react.

  4. Time Line Therapy® — Reframing Limiting Beliefs
    Update the unconscious beliefs that have been running the show (“Is it a red flag or a trigger?,” “I’m not good enough,” “I keep attracting the same types of people”) and install resourceful alternatives.

  5. Time Line Therapy® — Goal Setting & Future Timeline Installation
    Define well-formed outcomes (clear, positive, evidence-based, ecology-checked) and place them in your future timeline with target dates. We’ll future-pace the steps, rehearse success states, and map milestones so your nervous system is oriented toward the results.

In-person (Sudbury or Collingwood) or online across Ontario. Pay in full or split into 2 payments (no fees). Receipts provided under Joanna L Cox Counselling & Consulting; currently only covered by Canada Life under ‘Mental Health Counsellors’ Payment plans available (e.g., Klarna/Afterpay where applicable).

This service is also a business expense and can be written off under ‘Professional Development’

FAQs

We worked together as a couple—can I do this solo? Will you share what I say?
Yes, this is ideal after couples work. Individual sessions are confidential. I won’t share your content with your partner unless you request it and we agree on what to share.

Can I book more than one session per week?

Yes, you can book all 5 sessions in the same week if you prefer and more than one session per day.

Are receipts provided for insurance?
Yes. Receipts are issued under Joanna L Cox Counselling & Consulting. Currently only covered by Canada Life under “Mental Health Counselling’

What’s your cancellation policy?

  • Weekly Series: 24 hours’ notice to reschedule; late cancels/no-shows count as a session.

  • Full-Day Intensive: Retainer of $300 due at booking. 7 days or less: non-refundable. 8–14 days: retainer non-refundable; balance refunded. 15+ days: full refund of balance (retainer minus 3% processing).
